- Make sure that HALF of your plate is filled with vegetables. If you do not have a lot of time for cooking, you can get in the frozen aisle a wide variety of cleaned and cut vegetables that only need to be warmed up. Choose a healthy fat like olive oil and it's ready. You can even make a couple extra servings ready for your next meals!
- Keep in mind that you are doing something good to your body: Fruits and vegetables contain fiber that helps you keep cholesterol and sugar levels right. They are also rich in antioxidants that help fight the free radicals that can damage your arteries
- Go seasonal: you will get the best flavors and prices! Plus, you will change your choices and add more chances not to get bored with the same produce!
- Be adventurous! Every now and then try something new, you might be surprised by how many vegetables you like.
- HAVE FUN! You don't have to be a chef to handle vegetables, just try and play in the kitchen, that's what food is all about: having a good time!
